And I do feel that there's a fair bit to catch up on. I've been away far too long and lots has happened. I've had an incredibly busy summer with various holidays and trips.
Kicked it all off with a weekend away in Edinburgh with my family at Frenzy festival where we saw some great contemporary Christian artists one day, and the sights of the city, the next.
In July I partook in a great road trip from Preston to Snowdon, down to Swansea, Penzance in Cornwall and then back up to Tavistock in Devon before arriving back home in Preston. There was six of us all cramped in one car along with our luggage, food (drink!) etc but we had a lovely time and made many memories!
This week I got back from Soul Survivor which was held in Stafford. The youth group from my home church went and we had a really wonderful time. God was moving in our lives and it was a great opportunity to spend time with each other, with our new youth leaders and with Him!
Other than my short breaks, life has been pretty mundane with regards to work and every day activities such as cooking and cleaning in our (Lauren, Charlotte and myself's) new house... there's lots going on but truth be told, I'm really looking forward to getting stuck back into university and into the Christian Union. There's lots of work to be done which is daunting but also exciting. I feel God's got a lot planned this year and I'm interested to see how it will unfold. My prayer is that I don't become swamped or overwhelmed but that I will be able to embrace everything I'm involved with and make the most of the opportunities He has given me.
This update has hopefully been short AND sweet. I'm hoping that I will be able to do some more in depth and focused blogs soon.
Thanks for reading, hope you all are well.
